ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 28

ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 28 - APPROVING AND DIRECTING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RESOLUTION NO. 98-03, DATED AUGUST 25, 1998, REVISING THE RATES OF FEES CHARGED AND COLLECTED BY THE GAMES AND AMUSEMENTS BOARD

WHEREAS, under Presidential Decree No. 871, the Games and Amusements Board is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations to govern the conduct of professional basketball games and other professional games.

WHEREAS, Sec. 1 of Executive Order No. 159, series of 1994, directs all departments, bureaus, offices, units and agencies, including government owned and controlled corporations to revise their fees and charges to recover at least the full cost of services rendered and in order to make present fees and charges more realistic.  

NOW, THEREFORE, I JOSEPH EJERCITO ESTRADA, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby approve and direct the immediate implementation of Resolution No. 98-03 dated August 25, 1998, hereto attached as "Annex A".

Done in the City of Manila, this 8th day of October in the year of Our Lord Nineteen Hundred and Ninety-Eight.  

ANNEX A

QUOTED hereunder is the Resolution adopted by the Board in its 2nd regular meeting held on August 11, 1998, to wit:

"RESOLUTION NO. 98-03

WHEREAS, under P.D. 871 the Games and Amusements Board is empowered to promulgate rules and regulations to govern the conduct of professional basketball games and other professional games.

WHEREAS, in line with the government's objective to generate more revenue income and in order to make the present fees and charges being collected by the Board more realistic.  

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, as it is hereby RESOLVED, to revise, as they are hereby revised, the present fees being imposed and collected by the Professional Basketball and Other Professional Games Division of the GAB as specified below, and that the following revisions amendments and modifications of the fees and charges collected by the Board be submitted to the Executive Secretary as Department Head of the GAB, for approval.
