EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 436 - DIRECTING
MEASURES TO PREVENT EXCESSIVE INCREASES IN PRICES OF CERTAIN PRIME AND
ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES AND TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE FROM HOARDING,
PROFITEERING, INJURIOUS SPECULATIONS, MANIPULATION OF PRICES, AND OTHER
PERNICIOUS PRACTICES IN AREA WHERE A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY HAS BEEN
DECLARED DUE TO TYPHOON “RUPING”
WHEREAS,
to prevent unreasonable increases in prime and essential commodities
and artificial shortages thereof in the areas severely stricken by
typhoon “Ruping”, and to protect the people from boarding,
profiteering, injurious speculations, manipulation of prices and other
activities calculated to take advantage of the situation, certain
emergency measures must be undertaken;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by
virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
