EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 293-A - AMENDING EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 293 BY EXCLUDING CHANNELS 9 AND 13 FROM THE SCOPE AND COVERAGE THEREOF

WHEREAS, government wishes to dispel any doubt on its intention over Channel 9 and 13;

WHEREAS, Executive Order No. 286 has created Sequestered Assets Disposition Authority (SADA) to formulate and implement a program for the disposition of assets transferred to the Authority by the PCGG;

WHEREAS, Executive Order 149 has transferred SADA to PCGG;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the sovereign will of the Filipino people and the Constitution do hereby order;

Section 1. Exec. Order No. 293 is hereby amended by excluding from the scope and coverage thereof Channel 9 and 13;

Sec. 2. Said stations shall remain under the direct control and supervision of the Presidential Commission on Good Government;

Sec. 3. This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
