LETTER OF INSTRUCTIONS NO. 101
TO
: 1. The Secretary of Agriculture
and Natural Resources
2. The Secretary of Justice
3. The Commissioner on Audit
4. The Director of Forest Development
5. The Provincial Governors of Benguet,
Ifugao, Kalinga-Apayao and Mt.
Province
6. The Director of Lands
In order to properly implement paragraphs 8 and 15 of Presidential Decree No. 209 dated June 7, 1973, I hereby direct the following for the information, guidance, implementation and compliance of all concerned:
1.
A committee composed of four (4) members is hereby
created with the Director of Forest Development as chairman, the
Governor of Ifugao, a representative from the Commission on Audit
designated by the Commissioner, the Chairman of the defunct Mountain
Province Development Authority, as members.
This committee shall make an
official inventory of all MPDA properties
and assets; provide for the smooth turnover of said
properties and assets to the agencies concerned and take over the
functions and funds of the defunct MPDA; and finally make
recommendations for the possible absorption or reemployment of the
personnel in said MPDA who are regular employees of the Government.
2. In
accordance with paragraph 15, of the same
Presidential Decree No. 209, which reads:
"A
regional Evaluation Board composed of one representative each from the
Department of Justice as Chairman, and the Bureau of Forest Development
and Bureau of Lands, as members, is hereby created to review all tax
declarations and other pertinent papers relative to areas occupied by
virtue of Executive Order No. 87, series of 1967. It shall have the
power to declare null and void those that are violative of the
provisions of said executive order."
The Evaluation Board is hereby activated and shall forthwith discharge and exercise its functions and powers.
All officers concerned are instructed to take steps immediately for the implementation of the above provisions of Presidential Decree No. 209.
