Pursuant and subject to the provisions of Sec. 6 subparagraph (i) and (j) of Republic Act No. 5186, the importation of vinyl asbestos tiles and sheets classified under tariff heading No. 39.02 B or asbestos vinyl tiles under tariff heading No. 68.13 B as well as asbestos vinyl sheets under subheading 68.13 A under the Tariff and Customs Code shall be allowed only upon certification of the Board of Investments of the inability of BOI registered domestic enterprises to supply the demand for the products. Henceforth, all applications for the importation of vinyl asbestos tiles or asbestos vinyl titles either through letters of credit, documents against acceptance or open account arrangements or any other mode of payment shall be supported by the above-stated certification.
For immediate implementation.
