AMENDING LETTER OF INSTRUCTION NO. 689 BY SEPARATING THE PROVINCE OF
AURORA FROM THE JURISDICTION OF REGIONAL COMMAND NO. 2 AND TRANSFERRING
IT TO REGIONAL COMMAND NO. 3 |

WHEREAS, Letter of Instruction No. 689 specifically directs that the Province of Aurora be included within the Area of responsibility of the Philippine Constabulary/Integrated National Police Regional Command No. 2;
WHEREAS, the Province of Aurora is more proximate to said Regional Command No. 3 in San Fernando, Pampanga than that of Regional Command No. 2 in Tuguegarao, Cagayan;
WHEREAS, in some government offices, the Province of Aurora is included within the regional jurisdiction of Region 3;
WHEREAS, a more effective administration of peace and order and law enforcement functions in the Province of Aurora could be better attained if it is included in the jurisdiction of Regional Command No. 3.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, in the interest of improved law enforcement and public safety service do hereby direct that the jurisdiction over elements of the Philippine Constabulary/Integrated National Police in the Province of Aurora shall henceforth be transferred to and exercised by the authorities of Regional Command No. 3.
Done in the City of Manila, this 26th day of September, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-nine.
