Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated FEB 10, 1999.

G.R. No. 132811 (Jaime F. Vasquez vs. Government Service Insurance System.)

The motion of respondent Government Service Insurance System for an extension of fifteen (15) days from November 26, 1998 within which to file rejoinder to petitioner's reply to its comment on the petition for review on certiorari is granted.

Considering the allegations, issues and arguments adduced in the petition for review on certiorari as well as respondent's comment thereon, petitioner's reply, respondent's rejoinder and petitioner's sur-rejoinder thereto, the Court RESOLVES to DENY the petition for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals had committed any reversible error in the questioned judgment to warrant the exercise by this Court of its discretionary appellate jurisdiction in this case.

The manifestation with motion of respondent to strike out petitioner's aforestated sur-rejoinder is NOTED.
