Gentlemen:

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of this Court dated MAY 9, 2001.

G.R. No. 147613(Bayan Muna vs. COMELEC et al.)

G.R. No. 147589(Ang Bagong Bayani - OFW Labor Party (Under the Acronym OFW) represented by its Secretary General Mohammad Omar Fajardo vs. COMELEC et al.)

Acting on the Petition in GR No. 147613 the Court resolved to require respondents to file their respective COMMENT therein on or before noon of May 15, 2001.The Court further resolved to CONSOLIDATE the case with GR No. 147589.

The parties in these consolidated cases are DIRECTED to appear before the Court on May 17, 2001, 9:00 A.M. for oral argument.

Finally, the COMELEC may proceed with the counting and canvassing of all votes cast for the party-list elections.It is DIRECTED, however, to refrain from proclaiming any winner therein until further orders, so as not to render moot whatever actions the Court may find appropriate in the premises."Quisumbing, Buena, Ynares-Santiago and De Leon, Jr., JJ., are on leave.
