Title 14 - Aeronautics and Space
(a) A launch licensee shall maintain all records necessary to verify that licensed launches are conducted in accordance with representations contained in the licensee's application. A launch licensee shall retain records for three years after completion of all launches conducted under the license. (b) In the event of a launch accident or launch incident, as defined in §405.1 of this chapter, a launch licensee shall preserve all records related to the event. Records shall be retained until completion of any federal investigation and until the FAA advises the licensee that the records need not be retained. The licensee shall make available to federal officials for inspection and copying all records required to be maintained under these regulations.
