Title 19 - Customs Duties
Section 313(f) of the Act, as amended (19 U.S.C. 1313(f)), provides for the allowance of drawback upon the exportation of meats cured with imported salt. (a) General. Other provisions of this part relating to direct identification manufacturing drawback shall apply to claims for drawback under this subpart insofar as applicable to and not inconsistent with the provisions of this subpart. (b) Customs form. The forms used for other drawback claims shall be used and modified to show that the claim is being made for refund of duties paid on salt used in curing meats. Drawback shall be refunded in aggregate amounts of not less than $100 and shall not be subject to the retention of 1 percent of duties paid.
