Title 24 - Housing and Urban Development
(a) The lender may collect from the borrower the amount of the fees provided for by subpart E of this part. (b) The lender may also collect from the borrower an initial service charge, as reimbursement for the cost of closing the transaction, in an amount not to exceed 2 percent of the original principal amount of the loan. (c) Any charges to be collected by the lender in addition to those prescribed in paragraphs (a) and (b) of this section, shall be subject to the prior approval of the Commissioner.
