The general requirements for site and neighborhood standards for 202/162 projects are provided in §§891.125 and 891.320. In addition to the requirements in §§891.125 and 891.320, the following requirements apply to 202/162 projects: (a) The site must promote greater choice of housing opportunities and avoid undue concentration of assisted persons in areas containing a high proportion of low-income persons. (b) Projects must be located in neighborhoods where other family housing is located. Except as provided below, projects may not be located adjacent to the following facilities, or in areas where such facilities are concentrated: schools or day care centers for handicapped persons, workshops, medical facilities, or other housing primarily serving handicapped persons. Projects may be located adjacent to other housing primarily serving handicapped persons if the projects together do not exceed the project size limitations under §891.665(a).
