Title 27 - Alcohol, Tobacco Products and Firearms
Every person, except an agency of a State or a political subdivision thereof or any officer or employee of any such agency, bringing liquors into the United States from the Virgin Islands for nonindustrial use must obtain an importer's basic permit therefor and file with the district director of customs at the port of entry a certified or photostatic copy thereof, and every person and any agency of a State or political subdivision thereof or any officer or employee of such agency, bringing liquors into the United States from the Virgin Islands for nonindustrial use must file with the district director of customs at the port of entry a certificate of label approval, in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act and regulations issued pursuant thereto. Tourists bringing liquors into the United States for personal or other noncommercial use are not subject to the provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act or regulations issued pursuant thereto.
