30 C.F.R. § 280.41 What types of geological data and information must I submit to MMS?

Unless the RD specifies otherwise, you must submit geological data and information that include: (a) An accurate and complete record of all geological (including geochemical) data and information describing each operation of analysis, processing, and interpretation; (b) Paleontological reports identifying by depth any microscopic fossils collected, including the reference datum to which paleontological sample depths are related and, if the RD requests, washed samples, that you maintain for paleontological determinations; (c) Copies of well logs or charts in a digital format, if available; (d) Results and data obtained from formation fluid tests; (e) Analyses of core or bottom samples and/or a representative cut or split of the core or bottom sample; (f) Detailed descriptions of any hydrocarbons or other minerals or hazardous conditions encountered during operations, including near losses of well control, abnormal geopressures, and losses of circulation; and (g) Other geological data and information that the RD may specify.
