(a) The Charleston Marine Inspection Office and the Charleston Captain of the Port Office are located in Charleston, South Carolina. (b) The boundary of the Charleston Marine Inspection Zone and Captain of the Port Zone starts at the sea at the intersection of the North Carolina-South Carolina boundary; thence proceeds westerly along the North Carolina-South Carolina boundary to the intersection of the North Carolina-South Carolina-Georgia boundaries; thence southerly along the South Carolina-Georgia boundary to the intersection with the Federal dam at the southern end of Hartwell Reservoir; thence southerly along the eastern bank of the Savannah River to 32°30' N. latitude; thence easterly to the eastern bank of the Edisto River at 32°41' N. latitude; thence southerly along the eastern bank of the Edisto River to the southern tip of Bay Point, Edisto Island, South Carolina. The offshore boundary starts at a line bearing 122° T from the intersection of the South Carolina-North Carolina boundary and the sea to the outermost extent of the EEZ; thence southerly along the outermost extent of the EEZ to 30°50' N. latitude; thence east along 30°50' N. latitude to a line bearing 122° T from the southern tip of Bay Point, Edisto Island, South Carolina; thence easterly along a line bearing 122° T to the coast.
