Title 33 - Navigation and Navigable Waters
(a) Location. The following area is a security zone: All waters of the Willamette River, from surface to bottom, encompassed by the Hawthorne and Steel Bridges. (b) Regulations. In accordance with §165.33, entry into this zone is prohibited unless authorized by the Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Portland or his designated representatives. Section 165.33 also contains other general requirements. (c) Authority. In addition to 33 U.S.C. 1231, the authority for this section includes 33 U.S.C. 1226. (d) Enforcement period. This section is enforced annually in June from the first Wednesday in June falling on the 4th or later through the following Monday in June. The event will be 6 days in length and the specific dates of enforcement will be published each year in the [CGD13–02–020, 68 FR 31979, May 29, 2003, as amended by CDG13–05–007, 70 FR 33353, June 8, 2005]
