Title 34 - Education
(a) A fellowship recipient required to repay all or part of the amount of the fellowship shall begin repayments— (1) Within six months of the date the fellowship recipient meets the criteria in §535.50(b)(1) or (2); or (2) On a date and in a manner established by the Secretary, if the fellowship recipient ceases to work in an authorized activity. (b) A fellowship recipient must repay the required amount, including interest, in a lump sum or installment payments approved by the Secretary. (c) The repayment period may be extended if the Secretary grants a deferment under §535.54. (Authority: 20 U.S.C. 7475(b))
