Title 45 - Public Welfare
A State plan under title I, IV—A, X, XIV, or XVI (AABD) of the Social Security Act must provide that: (a) The State agency will maintain a file which is machine readable, i.e., which is maintained in a fashion that permits automated processing, and which contains the first and last name and verified social security number of each person applying for or receiving assistance under the plan. (b) The State agency will use this file to exchange data with other agencies pursuant to §205.55. [51 FR 7216, Feb. 28, 1986]
