Title 46 - Shipping
(a) The master or person in charge shall ensure that a record of each test and inspection required in §109.223 is maintained on board, until the unit is reinspected or inspected for certification. (b) The record required in paragraph (a) of this section must show— (1) The date of each test and inspection; (2) The number or other identification of each item of equipment tested or inspected; and (3) The name of the person, and the company he represents if any, who conducts the test or inspection.
