(a) This subpart, except §195.35–90, applies to each vessel, other than an unmanned barge, contracted for on or after November 23, 1992. (b) Each vessel, other than an unmanned barge, contracted for before November 23, 1992, must satisfy §195.35–90. (c) All unmanned barges are exempt from the requirements in this subpart. However, if any unmanned barge carries a fireman's outfit, the outfit must meet the requirements in this subpart for such outfits aboard manned barges. [CGD 86–036, 57 FR 48327, Oct. 23, 1992]
