Sec. 224. Establishment of values of primary electric and
photometric units in absolute measure; legal values
It shall be the duty of the Secretary of Commerce to establish the
values of the primary electric and photometric units in absolute
measure, and the legal values for these units shall be those represented
by, or derived from, national reference standards maintained by the
Department of Commerce.
