Secs. 10, 10a. Repealed. Pub. L. 91-383, Sec. 10(a)(2), (3), as
added Pub. L. 94-458, Sec. 2, Oct. 7, 1976, 90 Stat. 1941
Section 10, act Mar. 3, 1905, ch. 1405, 33 Stat. 873, authorized
National Park Service employees to arrest and prosecute persons
violating the laws and regulations relating to the national forests and
national parks. Act Mar. 3, 1905, insofar as it relates to the Forest
Service, is classified to section 559 of this title. Pub. L. 91-383,
Sec. 10(a), as amended, amended act Mar. 3, 1905, to delete references
to the National Park Service and the national parks. Authority to
maintain law and order within areas of the National Park System is now
covered by section 1a-6 of this title.
Section 10a, act Mar. 2, 1933, ch. 180, Sec. 2, 47 Stat. 1420,
related to the authorization of commissioners, superintendents,
caretakers, officers, or guards of national military parks, national
parks, battlefield sites, national monuments, and miscellaneous
memorials, to arrest and prosecute persons for violations of any of the
regulations prescribed pursuant to section 9a of this title.
