Sec. 450mm-3. Effective date; administration
(a) Administration
Fort Clatsop National Memorial shall be administered by the
Secretary of the Interior pursuant to sections 1, 2, 3, and 4 of this
title, as amended.
(b) Memorandum of understanding
If the owner of corporately owned timberlands depicted on the map
referred to in section 450mm-1(b) of this title agrees to enter into a
sale of such lands as a result of actual condemnation proceedings or in
lieu of condemnation proceedings, the Secretary of the Interior shall
enter into a memorandum of understanding with the owner regarding the
manner in which such lands will be managed after acquisition by the
United States.

Amendments
2002--Pub. L. 107-221 designated existing provisions as subsec. (a),
inserted heading, struck out ``Establishment of Fort Clatsop National
Memorial shall be effected when there is vested in the United States of
America title to not less than one hundred acres of land associated with
the historical events to be commemorated. Following its establishment,''
before ``Fort Clatsop National Memorial'', and added subsec. (b).
