Sec. 206. Exemption of retired officers of the uniformed
services
Sections 203 and 205 of this title shall not apply to a retired
officer of the uniformed services of the United States while not on
active duty and not otherwise an officer or employee of the United
States, or to any person specially excepted by Act of Congress.

Prior Provisions
A prior section 206, act June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 692,
related to an offer to a judge or judicial officer to influence him,
prior to the general amendment of this chapter by Pub. L. 87-849 and is
substantially covered by revised section 201.
Effective Date
Section effective 90 days after Oct. 23, 1962, see section 4 of Pub.
L. 87-849, set out as a note under section 201 of this title.
