SUBCHAPTER I--CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET PROCESS
Sec. 637. Legislation dealing with Congressional budget must be
handled by Budget Committees
No bill, resolution, amendment, motion, or conference report,
dealing with any matter which is within the jurisdiction of the
Committee on the Budget of either House shall be considered in that
House unless it is a bill or resolution which has been reported by the
Committee on the Budget of that House (or from the consideration of
which such committee has been discharged) or unless it is an amendment
to such a bill or resolution.

Amendments
1990--Pub. L. 101-508 substituted ``bill, resolution, amendment,
motion, or conference report'' for ``bill or resolution, and no
amendment to any bill or resolution''.
1985--Pub. L. 99-177 reenacted section without change.
Effective Date of 1985 Amendment
Amendment by Pub. L. 99-177 effective Dec. 12, 1985, and applicable
with respect to fiscal years beginning after Sept. 30, 1985, see section
