THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES VS. ROMEO LEGARTO AND V1CTORIO LEGARTO, JR.

Quoted hereunder, for your information, is a resolution of the First Division of this Court dated 17 November 2008:
G.R. No. 175598: THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES vs. ROMEO LEGARTO and V1CTORIO LEGARTO, JR.
After a careful review of the records of the case, the Court finds no reversible error in the assailed decision, However, we award the amount of P50,000 as moral damages, pursuant to prevailing jurisprudence, for each of the rape cases.
WHEREFORE, the Court ADOPTS the findings of fact and conclusions of law in the Decision dated 30 June 2006 of the Court of Appeals in CA-G.R. C.R.-H.C. No. 00594, finding appellants Romeo Legarto and Victorio Legarto, Jr. guilty beyond reasonable doubt of the crime of Rape, and AFFIRMS said Decision with the MODIFICATION that the amount of P50,000 as moral damages be awarded, pursuant to prevailing jurisprudence, for each of the rape cases.
