(a) During the period October 13, 2000 until October 15, 2002 you may either: (1) Comply with the provisions of this subpart. If you elect to do so, you must notify the Regional Supervisor; or (2) Comply with the training regulations in 30 CFR 250.1501 through 250.1524 that were in effect on June 1, 2000 and are contained in the 30 CFR, parts 200 to 699, edition revised as of July 1, 1999, as amended on December 28, 1999 (64 FR 72794). (b) After October 15, 2002, you must comply with the provisions of this subpart.
