Title 32 - National Defense
(a) The Under Secretary of the Navy shall perform such duties and exercise such powers as the Secretary of the Navy shall prescribe. (b) The Under Secretary of the Navy is designated as the deputy and principal assistant to the Secretary of the Navy. The Under Secretary of the Navy acts with full authority of the Secretary in the general management of the Department of the Navy and supervision of offices, organizations and functions as assigned by the Secretary.
