Exception to tagging requirement: for the 1983-84 and previous seasons, finished furs and fully manufactured fur products may be exported from the U.S. when accompanied by the State tags removed in a manner described by the Service from pelts contained in the products, such tags must be removed by cutting the tag strap on the female side next to the locking socket of the tag so that the locking socket and locking tip remain joined, and such tags must be surrendered to the Service prior to export.
