CHRISTIAN PUA Y PARAISO v. PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES
G.R. No. 179908 (CHRISTIAN PUA y PARAISO v. PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES) - Considering the allegations, issues and arguments presented in the Petition for Review together with the Comment and the Reply, the Court resolves to DENY the petition for failure to sufficiently show that the Court of Appeals committed any reversible error in its assailed Decision dated July 6, 2007 and Resolution dated October 2, 2007 as to warrant the exercise of the Court's appellate jurisdiction.
IN VIEW OF THE FOREGOING, the Court ADOPTS the findings and conclusions of law in the Decision dated July 6, 2007 and Resolution dated October 2, 2007 of the Court of Appeals in CA � G.R. CR HC No. 01275 and AFFIRMS said Decision and Resolution finding petitioner Christian Pua y Paraiso guilty beyond reasonable doubt of illegal sale of 221.175 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, also known as "shabu," in violation of Section 15, Article III of Republic Act No. 6425, as amended by Republic Act No. 7659, sentencing him to suffer the penalty of imprisonment of reclusion perpetua, and to pay a fine of P500,000.00. cralaw
